Shipping policy
Thank you for visiting and shopping at Colorado Caramel Company. What follows are the terms and conditions that comprise our Shipping Policy.
Domestic Shipping Policy
Shipment processing time
All orders are processed within 2-3 business days. Orders are not shipped on weekends or holidays.
If we are experiencing a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed by a few days. Please allow additional days in transit for shipping carrier depending on shipping method used. If there will be a significant delay in shipment of your order, we will contact you via email or telephone.
Shipping rates, methods & delivery
Shipping or delivery charges for your order will be calculated and displayed during checkout. Shipping methods/carriers will depend on total order weight and the various options for shipping and/or delivery will be presented as choices during checkout. We use USPS First Class Mail for orders weighing less than ONE POUND total; USPS Priority Mail or UPS Ground delivery for orders weighing more than ONE POUND total; and of course local delivery (additional charge of $7-$15 depending on delivery location will be applied) and free local pickup at a convenient location to be determined are also offered for all items.
Through years of careful observation, we conclude that perishable candies, such as chocolate won't make it if left outside even one day in hot weather. Please choose expedited or overnight shipping to avoid melting when shipping to warm weather climates.
* Overnight delivery is only available for orders with delivery addresses within the state of Colorado and additional fees will be incurred.
Delivery delays can occasionally occur with individual carriers and are beyond our control.
Shipment to P.O. boxes or APO/FPO addresses
Colorado Caramel Company does not ship to U.S. Territories or to APO/FPO/DPO addresses at this time.
Shipment confirmation & Order tracking
You will receive a Shipment Confirmation email once your order has shipped containing your tracking number(s). The tracking number will be active within 24 hours.
Customs, Duties and Taxes
Colorado Caramel Company is not responsible for any customs and taxes applied to your order. All fees imposed during or after shipping are the responsibility of the customer (tariffs, taxes, etc.).
Damages or Lost Packages
Colorado Caramel Company is not liable for any products damaged, lost or stolen during shipping. If you received your order damaged, please contact the shipment carrier to file a claim. We are not responsible for melting or other damage caused by heat exposure during shipping. Expedited or overnight shipping must be chosen and paid for by the customer.
Once a package is marked “Delivered” by the carrier, responsibility for the shipment transfers to the recipient.
Colorado Caramel Company is not responsible for packages that are lost, stolen, or mis-delivered after being marked as delivered by carrier. If a package shows as delivered but cannot be located, the customer is responsible for contacting the carrier to initiate a Missing Mail or Lost Package inquiry.
Refunds or replacements for packages marked as delivered are not guaranteed and are handled at our sole discretion. In certain circumstances, a one-time courtesy refund or replacement may be offered; however, this does not establish an ongoing obligation.
To help ensure successful delivery, signature confirmation may be required for future orders, particularly if there has been a prior delivery issue.
We strongly recommend shipping to a secure location where packages can be received safely.
Please save all packaging materials and damaged goods before filing a claim.
International Shipping Policy
